Terms & Conditions

By submitting an application to participate in the Miss Africa America Pageant, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of $50.00 is required to process your application. This fee must be paid at the time of application submission and is not refundable under any circumstances, including rejection of application, withdrawal, or disqualification.

2. Eligibility Requirements

• • Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age
• • Must have at least one parent of African descent
• • Must be a legal resident of the United States
• • Must never have been convicted of a felony
• • Must be of good moral character

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Miss Africa America Pageant, its organizers, sponsors, partners, judges, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• • Any injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in the pageant
• • Any costs incurred in preparing for or attending the pageant
• • Lost or delayed travel arrangements
• • Theft, loss, or damage to personal property
• • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• • Technical failures, cancellations, or postponements of the event

4. Media Rights and Publicity

By participating, you grant Miss Africa America Pageant the irrevocable right to use your name, likeness, photographs, videos, and biographical information for promotional, marketing, and media purposes without additional compensation.

5. Code of Conduct

All participants must:

• • Conduct themselves with dignity, grace, and professionalism
• • Comply with all pageant rules and regulations
• • Refrain from any behavior that could bring disrepute to the pageant
• • Follow all instructions from pageant organizers and staff

6. Disqualification

Miss Africa America Pageant reserves the right to disqualify any participant at any time for violation of these terms, providing false information, inappropriate behavior, or any other reason deemed necessary by the organizers. No refunds will be provided in case of disqualification.

7. Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participation in the pageant, including but not limited to risks of injury, illness, property damage, and financial loss. Participants agree to release and hold harmless Miss Africa America Pageant from any and all liability.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Miss Africa America Pageant, its officers, directors, employees, sponsors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your participation in the pageant or violation of these terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

Miss Africa America Pageant reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any material changes.
